Oublié cathedral ("cathedral of oblivion") is a cathedral church located in Amiens, a town in northern France. The player visits this place on several occasions:
814 A.D. - as Anthony, in charge of delivering a message to Charlemagne who is currently residing at Oublié cathedral
1485 A.D. - as Paul Luther, a monk on pilgrimage who wants to see a holy relic that is said to be kept at Oublié cathedral
1916 A.D. - as Peter Jacob, who stays at Oublié cathedral during World War I.
Trivia
On the official Eternal Darkness soundtrack, the piece dedicated to the chapters taking place at Oublié Cathedral is called "The Somme". "Somme" is also the name of the département (administrative divisions in France) in which Amiens is located.
Oublié Cathedral is based on Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Amiens, also known as Amiens Cathedral. Amiens boasts the largest interior of any cathedral in Western Europe, and can be seen to have some of the distinctive features of the Oublié Cathedral.
